Shiferaw Girma, a Las Vegas based Ethiopian Artist, held his first show in the United States on March 15, 2003, in Oakland, California. The art works capture the dignity of African women while at the same time illustrate the difficulty of their daily chores. His acrylics on canvas paintings are found in private homes around the world. The depictions of people, notably women, are inspired by the numerous trips he has taken throughout Ethiopia and other African countries. A must see for all art lovers.
